Noisy Noise Noise
An immersive sound-based installation inviting participants to explore, create and interact with noise. Discover the beauty in everyday sounds.
About This Installation
Noisy Noise Noise is an immersive sound-based installation that invites visitors to explore their relationship with noise, sound, and silence. Created by Sound Collective, this interactive artwork transforms everyday sounds into something extraordinary.
The installation features multiple sound stations where visitors can create, manipulate, and interact with noise. Bang, scrape, whisper, or shout - every action creates sound, and every sound becomes part of the collective sonic landscape. The piece explores how we perceive noise: is it disturbance or music? Chaos or pattern?
Located at Beale Place and running throughout the entire festival weekend, this installation is accessible at any time during festival hours. It's particularly engaging for children, who love the freedom to make noise in a space where it's encouraged and celebrated!
The installation responds to the festival theme "WE ARE HERE" through sound - asserting presence through noise, exploring how we occupy sonic space, and celebrating the beautiful cacophony of many voices (and noises) together.
Drop in for five minutes or spend an hour exploring - there's no right way to experience this playful and thought-provoking installation.
Free Installation: This interactive installation is completely free to experience throughout the festival weekend. Visit any time during festival hours.
